About the WCTC Student Internship

What You’ll Gain:

Internship Qualifications:
To be eligible for a WCTC Internship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Current WCTC Student: Must be an enrolled, current WCTC student.
- Internship Course Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a WCTC Internship course.
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Work Hours: Students may work up to 20 hours per week (depending on the specific position).
- Compensation: Positions are paid at $15 hourly.
- Benefits: WCTC Student Interns are not benefit-eligible.

- Log into Handshake using your WCTC student email to view all open positions.
- If it’s your first time using Handshake, you’ll need to create an account.
- Apply Online:
- All applications must be submitted through WCTC’s NEOGOV jobs website at wctc.edu/jobs.
- Click the “Apply” button at the top of the specific job posting.
- If it’s your first time using NEOGOV, you’ll need to create an account.
- Be Prepared to Upload: During the online application process, you will need to upload:
- A cover letter.
- A current resume.
