About the WCTC Student Internship

Internship Qualifications:

To be eligible for a WCTC Internship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Current WCTC Student: Must be an enrolled, current WCTC student.
  • Internship Course Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a WCTC Internship course.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Work Hours: Students may work up to 20 hours per week (depending on the specific position).
  • Compensation: Positions are paid at $15 hourly.
  • Benefits: WCTC Student Interns are not benefit-eligible.

    • If it’s your first time using Handshake, you’ll need to create an account.

    • All applications must be submitted through WCTC’s NEOGOV jobs website at wctc.edu/jobs.
    • Click the “Apply” button at the top of the specific job posting.
    • If it’s your first time using NEOGOV, you’ll need to create an account.
  4. Be Prepared to Upload: During the online application process, you will need to upload:
    • A cover letter.
    • A current resume.
