The Tone:

This role is crucial for directing the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods, ensuring workplace health and safety, and maintaining the security of the building and stock.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, including the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods, while safeguarding the facility and stock through security procedures.
• Manage customer order fulfillment by entering and maintaining sales orders in JDE, communicating production and delivery status, and assisting with customer quality complaints and inventory.
• Develop and coordinate transportation schedules for multiple carriers, manage trailer locations and inventory, and communicate schedules to freight carriers and the plant warehouse team.
• Collaborate with plant operations to develop and maintain the production schedule using the JDE Planning Tool, review and update customer forecasts, and manage customer-owned inventory and specific finished goods.
• Lead and develop the warehouse team through hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and performance management, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local warehousing requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial role focused on warehouse and logistics operations, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability in customer service, quality improvement management, team building and leadership, planning and organization, performance management, and safety awareness and intervention.
• Skills: Basic mathematical proficiency and basic computer experience.
• Bonus: Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
