Warehouse Associate – Entry Level | Ferguson Enterprises

This is a full-time, entry-level Warehouse Associate role at Ferguson Enterprises, a Fortune 500 company with approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations. What You’ll Actually Do
• Order Preparation: Safely operate a stand-up forklift, including order selector or cherry picker models, to accurately pull and meticulously prepare outbound customer orders for efficient distribution.
• Material Handling: Diligently build, securely wrap, precisely sort, and carefully transport various pallets and packages across the warehouse, ensuring proper staging for next steps.
• Receiving & Stocking: Accurately and timely receive, meticulously verify, properly stage, and efficiently stock all incoming material, contributing to precise inventory management.
• Facility Maintenance: Consistently maintain a clean and organized workspace, actively collaborating with the team to uphold a safe, clean, and accident-free facility environment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all established safety regulations and procedures, including the correct and consistent usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as wearing a safety harness when required.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level warehouse operations knowledge, demonstrating a foundational understanding of material handling and storage principles.
• Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age. 0-3 years of warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is preferred.
• Skills: Valid state-issued driver’s license; ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card; high attention to detail; ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs regularly; knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Bonus: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment; positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic; ability to learn new systems quickly; demonstrated focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices.
