A Taste of What You’ll Do
Join our dynamic Winegrowing Research Viticulture department as a Viticulture Research Graduate Intern. This integral role is part of a research collaboration designed for Master’s and PhD students to apply their advanced knowledge in remote sensing and precision viticulture within the innovative world of wine grape production. You will play a crucial role in advancing precision growing practices and cutting-edge technologies aimed at enhancing yield, fruit composition, and overall wine quality. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts from various Winegrowing Research disciplines, engage with internal partners, and work alongside esteemed collaborators from the industry.

What You’ll Need
- Education:
- Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Master’s or PhD, OR
- Have obtained a Master’s or PhD in the following areas: School of Life Sciences, School of Agricultural Sciences, or School of Engineering.
- Business or social sciences degrees (e.g., ag business, psychology) are not eligible for this internship.
- Driver’s License & Transportation:
- Required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire.
- This position will undergo a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving.
- If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
- Reliable transportation to and from work is essential.
- Physical Requirements:
- Required to lift and move up to 40 lbs. when necessary.
- Work Schedule:
- Required to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Age Requirements:
- Required to be 21 years of age or older. (Additionally, required to be 18 years or older).
- Skills:
- Strong applied technical skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
