About the Job

This is an Internship Description for a Video Production Intern within SEIA’s Design and Communications Team.

Internship Focus: The internship offers hands-on experience across the entire video production process, from pre-production and filming to editing and publishing. There are also opportunities for graphic design projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting with all phases of video production (planning, filming, editing).
• Editing video content for social media and websites.
• Photographing events as needed.
• Organizing and logging footage, managing file storage, and maintaining media assets.
• Supporting creative brainstorming and concept development.
• Researching visual trends and suggesting new content ideas.
• Ensuring content adheres to brand guidelines and project goals.

Requirements:
Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro (Adobe After Effects, Audition, and the wider Creative Suite are a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and storytelling instincts.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfort with meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
• A portfolio or sample reel is strongly encouraged.
Preferred Academic Majors: Film, Media Production, Design, Communications, or related fields.

Compensation & Schedule:
• This is a paid position, offering $18 per hour.
• The internship will run from September 29th through December 12th.
• The working commitment is 15-20 hours per week.
• The internship is based in the Washington, DC office.
• Interns are required to be in the office on designated team days (2-3 days a week) and specifically for cohort touch-base meetings.
