About the Job: Video Intern

Front Row is expanding its commerce capabilities and internship programs, seeking an ambitious, innovative, efficient, and responsible Video Intern. This role is for someone excited by a fast-paced environment that generates new and engaging content daily.

Location: This is an unpaid, on-site internship based out of Front Row’s office in Downtown San Diego, CA. The internship can be adjusted to align with a student’s semester and/or credit unit needs.

Role Overview:
The ideal candidate can create polished and engaging videos, both long and short form, and enjoys taking on new challenges. The creative team fosters an environment of constant sharing, learning, and idea exchange across its three pillars: Video, Graphic Design, and Photography.

Reporting Structure:
The Video Intern will report to the Director of Creative Strategy & Production.

Collaboration:
The intern will collaborate with other video team members, photographers, designers, and account managers to concept, execute, and deliver commercial and social media content for beauty, food, and lifestyle clients.

Requirements:
Location: Must be located in or willing to relocate to San Diego, CA.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in video editing (preferred).
Social Media: Working knowledge of social media trends and platform-specific content creation (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat).
Software Proficiency: Intermediate to Advanced level knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Encoder, and After Effects, with the ability to work smoothly across these programs.
Post-Production: Knowledge of post-production workflows and organization (e.g., syncing sound, color correction, transcoding) (preferred).
Motion Graphics: Working knowledge of motion graphics, including creating graphics from scratch and with existing assets (preferred).
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Editing Trends: Knowledge of editing trends and social media.
Timeline Management: Ability to edit on quick timelines.
Work Ethic: Proactive and autonomous.

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):
• Experience on set and/or in studio.
• Agency experience.
• Experience in the beauty, food, or lifestyle sectors.
