Vice President Investment Banking – M&A | Options Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time role with a client of Options Group, located in the New York City Metro Area. The client is a leading Global, Elite Boutique Investment Bank. This high-impact position offers immediate exposure to complex M&A, working with blue-chip corporate clients and private equity sponsors across all industries, and is essential for driving successful transaction execution and supporting the firm’s consistent deal flow.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Leadership: Lead and execute complex M&A transactions for both financial sponsors and corporate clients, primarily focusing on public company M&A, encompassing both buy-side and sell-side engagements with blue-chip clients across various industries.
• Project Management & Analysis: Independently manage critical workstreams including comprehensive due diligence processes, sophisticated valuation analysis, robust financial modeling, and the preparation of all client deliverables.
• Business Development Support: Actively contribute to business development initiatives, assisting senior team members with pitch execution and presentation preparation, gaining direct exposure to firm-wide strategy.
• Client and Investor Engagement: Interface directly with key clients and investors throughout all phases of the transaction process, fostering relationships and ensuring clear communication and progress from initiation to close.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, providing a strong foundation for a Vice President role in investment banking, specifically within M&A.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 7 years of direct investment banking experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have focused on M&A engagements.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities, advanced proficiency in valuation and financial modeling techniques, exceptional communication, and presentation skills.
• Bonus: A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, a proven ability to confidently manage client relationships, and the capacity to excel in a lean environment.
