The Tone:

MarshBerry provides consulting services in the financial services industry to independent insurance agents, brokers, carriers, and wealth and retirement plan advisors. This Vice President position is crucial for leading transaction teams, conducting analysis, driving growth, and ensuring effective and efficient delivery of MarshBerry’s investment banking and consulting services. • Mission: Lead the fulfillment and origination of merger and acquisition advisory, business valuation, due diligence, and financial consulting projects from introduction to closing.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Leadership: Serve as the client-facing lead on merger and acquisition projects and financial consulting projects, developing strategy and implementation of client deliverables.
• Engagement Management: Manage both sell-side and buy-side M&A advisory engagements, including financial analysis, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiations to achieve successful transaction closings.
• Growth Identification: Recognize opportunities for company growth and implement strategies to enhance client satisfaction, company market share, revenue growth, and profitability.
• Business Development: Seek and coordinate new business development activities and marketing strategies for current and new services through active relationship building techniques.
• Team Management: Direct and coach team members, managing and establishing priorities, workflow, and providing consistent feedback to monitor progress and ensure team development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Management. Core domain knowledge in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, law, assurance services, financial consulting, or financial services.
• Experience: 6-10+ years of related experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, law, assurance services, financial consulting, or financial services. Proven experience in leading work teams to achieve and exceed division goals.
• Skills: Analytical and proactive problem-solving techniques; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight and limited weekend travel; ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Bonus: Master’s degree and/or Juris Doctor; additional Professional Designations or Certifications such as CPA, CVA, CPCU, and/or AM&AA; passing of required licensing exams to become a registered representative of our affiliated broker dealer within a short time period after hire.
