Vice President, Investment Banking | Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners
The Tone:
This is an experienced Vice President role at Financial Technology Partners, with potential locations in the U.S. or U.K. The company is the only investment banking firm focused exclusively on the financial technology sector, broadly defining it as the convergence of technology-based solutions and financial services. This role is crucial for leading the direction and execution of client projects, driving deal flow from origination to close, and developing junior bankers within an award-winning firm recognized as “Dealmaker of the Year” and “Investment Banking Firm of the Year.”

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Lead the direction and discussions of project models or strategies with clients with little to no guidance from senior bankers.
• Client Presentation: Build and effectively illustrate client stories and investment theses in presentation form, presenting analysis and insights with confidence.
• Deal Management: Manage multiple workstreams and multiple deals, anticipating and managing upcoming tasks for deal teams with little to no oversight.
• Valuation Expertise: Demonstrate significant command to articulate valuation, including DCF, LBO, and comparables, to buyers, investors, and clients.
• Team Development: Serve as a subject matter expert, teaching technical concepts to others and utilizing junior bankers efficiently through clear guidance and delegation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Investment Banking, with extensive experience in M&A sell-side advisory processes and deal flow from origination to close.
• Experience: 6+ years of full-time investment banking experience in M&A sell-side advisory, including managing multiple workstreams and deals.
• Skills: Demonstrated capability to lead and manage projects, excellent organizational, execution, and time management skills, strong presentation skills, strategic thinking, analytical skills, proven quantitative and technical skills, and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Undergraduate degree with a 3.5 GPA or greater, FINRA Series 63 and 79 registration, an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic and drive, high degree of self-discipline and motivation, and maturity and poise to work directly with client executives.
