Job Description:
Delta Air Lines is seeking an intern to join the Value Prop Team. As part of the team, the intern will play a pivotal role in evaluating and optimizing team dynamics to enhance overall performance. This comprehensive initiative focuses on analyzing team well-being and performance, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. The intern’s work will directly contribute to maximizing productivity and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Measure and analyze team performance and identify patterns for further investigation.
• Implement project management skills and practices.
• Collaborate across business units with various stakeholders in a professional setting.
• Provide feedback to improve team workflows, team effectiveness and evaluate their impact.
• Participate in data collection efforts impacting cross-functional departments.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Aviation Management, Operations Management, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Must be available for the duration of the internship program.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university while participating in the program.
• Ability to present oneself professionally and effectively communicate with various levels of leadership.
• Team-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in basic data analytics.
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to digest data and briefly explain insights to support decision-making.
• Comfortable working in both group and individual settings.
• Track record of seeking leadership roles in student and community organizations.
• Ability to develop effective presentations to explain background, analysis, results, and recommendations efficiently.
• Desire to learn leadership techniques and best practices in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
• Interest in learning more about the airline industry and Delta as a company.
