Job Summary: UX/UI Design Intern
Trimble’s UX/UI Design internship provides hands-on experience in research, design, and related areas, depending on your interests and skills. You’ll work in an agile team environment, applying design and research skills to professional projects. Potential opportunities include:
• UX Analyst: A customer and stakeholder-facing role, analyzing data to understand goals and challenges, and providing team recommendations based on research.
• UX Architect: Creating product blueprints and workflows during early development, conducting research to establish a strong UX foundation.
• UX/UI Designer: A broad role encompassing understanding customer interaction with products, product aesthetics, and creating intuitive interfaces for development.
• Visual Designer: Creating aesthetically pleasing layouts, icons, components, and assets for product solutions.
• Design Technologist: Bridging the gap between UX and engineering teams, solving design problems through coding and prototyping, and ensuring the team understands technical requirements to improve development efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create new designs and edit existing documentation to meet research standards.
• Conduct customer research to inform product development and improvements.
• Assist in facilitating research and user testing sessions.
• Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups for intuitive user experiences.
• Research, ideate, sketch, wireframe, prototype, and create high-fidelity designs for Trimble’s digital products.
• Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for various devices and interfaces.
• Collaborate with senior designers on strategic design and UX decisions.
• Employ a user-centered design approach, testing and iterating designs rapidly.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Take smart risks and champion new ideas.
Recommended Skills & Experience:
• Currently pursuing a degree in graphic/visual design, UX design, computer science, multimedia, or a related field.
• Experience with Figma, Miro, Adobe Suite, Basic HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, or related software.
• Ability to think critically and work independently or collaboratively.
• Creativity and openness to problem-solving.
