Job Description: User Research Intern (Summer 2025)
What you will be doing:
• Work closely with your mentor and user research leadership to define the details of your projects and contribute to the overall direction of your product area.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and product management teams to understand critical research questions and develop the best research approach to answer them.
• Conduct actionable research to guide the product team’s decision-making and design process.
• Gather and incorporate feedback on your work from your mentor, other user researchers, and multi-functional team members.
What you should have:
• Must be graduating December 2025 or later.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating methodological strength and experience across all stages of the research process: data collection, cleaning and analysis, synthesis, documenting, and sharing findings.
• Commitment to learning from others, self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses, and a desire for skill improvement.
• Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams in dynamic environments to explore and answer research questions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for clearly and compellingly sharing research findings.
Nice to have:
• Currently pursuing a Master’s or Ph.D. in human-computer interaction, sociology, psychology, communication, information science, or a related field with an applied research component.
• Previous experience (internship or otherwise) in a technology company or business environment.
• Experience researching generative AI, computer-supported collaboration, or knowledge workers.
• Ability to translate qualitative findings into frameworks or design artifacts.
• Experience with mixed-methods research (qualitative interviews and surveys with statistical analysis).
• Experience using remote research tools such as Qualtrics and UserTesting.
