About the Role: USCAN Technology Intern
Join GE HealthCare’s Service Technology team as a USCAN Technology Intern. In this role, you will collaborate with subject-matter experts to help design, build, and improve technology solutions that support our field service organization. You’ll work on meaningful, project-based assignments that contribute directly to Service Technology priorities while building hands-on experience in analytics, visualization, and modern development practices.
This internship is ideal for individuals who are adaptable, curious, and eager to apply technical skills in a real-world healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with field service teams to translate voice-of-customer insights into actionable digital solutions.
- Design and deliver Power BI dashboards, including DAX development and high-impact data visualizations.
- Apply standard work processes with accuracy and quality.
- Learn and apply new technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, Statistics, or a related STEM discipline.
- Availability for a minimum of 10 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Prior experience or coursework using:
- Power BI (DAX and front-end design)
- Excel and large data set analysis
- One or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, C/C++, Rust, Kotlin, Go, Zig, or another object-oriented or modern imperative language.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. GE HealthCare does not sponsor employment visas for this role now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Research or previous internship/work experience in algorithms, artificial intelligence, compilers, database, data mining, distributed systems, machine learning, search.
- Strong analytical skills with Data Science experience.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and basic software design.
- Collaborative, solution focused and act with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of or classroom experience with UX/UI design principles.
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for solving problems using technology.
- Ability to operate in a self-directed environment.
Compensation and Location
This is a remote position for U.S.-based candidates. The pay range for this position is $23 – $28 an hour. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range.
