About Company

Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization founded in 1970. Its core mission is to provide spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world in Jesus’ name. They assist victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine, with the overarching purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Job Title: US Disaster Relief Internship – Fall 2025

Program Overview:
The Internship Program at Samaritan’s Purse is designed for college students and recent graduates. It offers an opportunity to use skills to impact a hurting world by providing general exposure to:
• Relief scenarios.
• Ministry and evangelistic outreach efforts.
• The programs and operations of Samaritan’s Purse.
Interns will work alongside seasoned staff and receive on-the-job training in various roles at US Disaster and Rebuild sites.

Key Job Duties:
Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers.
Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
Participate on a team of volunteers.
Shadow program management staff, construction foreman, and construction worker roles.
Learn about volunteer coordination.
Follow all policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as outlined in the Policy Manual.
Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.

Qualifications & Experience:
Suggested Degrees (but not required): Disaster relief, construction management, diesel technology, electrical, plumbing, and other related fields.
Core Qualities:
• A heart to serve and assist individuals impacted by disaster, specifically “in Jesus Name.”
Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and networking skills.
Analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
Ability to develop and carry out plans and solve problems independently.

Job Location:
This is an on-site internship. Interns will be placed based on the needs of field sites, depending on current disaster responses and rebuild sites. This means the internship will be at multiple US Disaster and/or Rebuild sites within the US, with periods spent at the North Wilkesboro campus in between assignments.
