Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Products & Sales

  • Customer Consultation: Explain available products and services, guiding customers to select the most appropriate financial solutions tailored to their individual needs.
  • Business Development: Proactively engage with potential and existing customers through outreach efforts to develop new business and retain valuable relationships.
  • Financial Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough interviews with customers to accurately assess their financial requirements.
  • Application Resolution: Correspond with or interview applicants and/or creditors to resolve any questions or discrepancies regarding application information.
  • Cross-Selling Initiatives: Enthusiastically cross-sell a comprehensive range of Austin Bank’s products and services.

Customer Service

  • Exceptional Service Delivery: Exhibit superior customer service as a dedicated Austin Bank team member, demonstrating high-quality relationship-building techniques.
  • Customer Advocacy: Ensure customers receive the best possible solutions for their banking and financial needs, fostering a loyal and lasting relationship with Austin Bank.
  • Efficient & Friendly Interactions: Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service to all customers and potential customers.
  • Transaction & Account Management:
    • Open various deposit accounts.
    • Process teller transactions accurately.
    • Take loan applications.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
    • Recognize and refer cross-sell opportunities as appropriate.
  • Procedural Adherence: Perform all transactions according to specified guidance and prepare all required documentation meticulously.
  • Communication Hub: Answer telephone calls, efficiently taking messages, forwarding calls, or providing direct assistance to customers as needed.
  • Loan Approval: Approve loans within specified limits or refer complex cases to the appropriate lender for approval.
  • Branch Support: Cross-train in other areas to provide comprehensive assistance and back-up as needed, ensuring uninterrupted quality customer service.

Operations & Compliance

  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate in developing a cohesive teamwork atmosphere within the branch by attending meetings, contributing to discussions, treating co-workers with respect and courtesy, and supporting departmental goals.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Maintain a clear and current understanding of banking regulations pertaining to both deposit and loan products.
  • Documentation Integrity: Ensure all documentation on new loan and/or deposit accounts is complete and accurate, adhering strictly to bank policy.
  • Work Area Organization: Maintain an organized, clean, and adequately supplied work area.
  • Policy & Confidentiality: Maintain strict compliance with Bank policies, procedures, goals, and objectives, with paramount adherence to customer confidentiality.

Professional Growth and Development

  • Actively enhance professional growth and development through consistent participation in education programs, staying informed with current industry literature, and attending in-service meetings.
