This Position Will Be Responsible For:

• Underwriting basics – A dedicated mentor will teach fundamental underwriting concepts by topic.
• Basic business unit financial reporting.
• Preparing financial reports for upcoming meetings using UW Desktop and Power BI.
• Pipeline management activities.
• Preparation for and participation in presentations and stewardship meetings.
• Loss summary review and data inputs.
• Attending a broker meeting with the Mentor.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in the fall semester following the internship.
• Must be a rising junior or rising senior at the time of the internship.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school).
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, punctual, professional, and able to work independently.

Compensation:

The proposed hourly rate for this position is $21.00. Compensation at Zurich is influenced by various factors including office location, role, skill set, and experience level. Zurich is committed to providing a fair and reasonable compensation range. Additional rewards may include short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases.
