Description: Undergraduate Research & Development Internship
This internship offers opportunities to work on projects with significant strategic and operational importance to the business. Responsibilities may include:
• Process Improvement: Partnering with leadership to identify and address areas for efficiency improvement, benchmarking against industry best practices, becoming a process owner, critically reviewing processes, and recommending improvements. Learning and applying continuous improvement methodologies (PPI, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to company safety, training, and quality regulations (ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements).
• Research & Development: Executing experimental plans, analyzing data, contributing to technical reports and product summaries, investigating new methods/technologies, maintaining accurate lab notebooks to protect intellectual property.
• Collaboration: Working with various departments, including Business Development, Quality, Operations, Technical Services, and Marketing, in the commercialization of new products.
Specifics:
• Start Date: May 12th or June 16th, 2025.
• Duration: 10-12 weeks.
• Compensation: hourly rate between $21.50 – $28.75 (depending on location and cost-of-living). A $5,000 relocation stipend is offered if the student lives 50+ miles from the internship location.
• Currently pursuings: Undergraduate student pursuing an Engineering or Life Sciences degree (graduation between December 2025 and June 2026). Previous internship experience is preferred but not required. Strong results-oriented track record demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity is essential. Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence are also necessary. Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required. F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT visas are not accepted for this position.
California Specific Compensation: $21.00–$24.00 hourly. A variable annual bonus may also be available.
