Job Description: Undergraduate Placement Schemes (Internships)

The Walt Disney Company is offering multiple undergraduate internship opportunities across various departments within its production teams. These internships provide a strong entry-level opportunity to begin a career in television development. Interns will work on-site four days a week.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a second-year undergraduate student enrolled in an industrial placement year course, returning to studies in Autumn 2026.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• Must be available to start full-time work in June 2025.
• Must have a genuine interest in the specific internship area applied for.

Internship Areas:

Several internship opportunities exist across various teams:

Animation: Two internships are available:
Production Management Intern: Involved in the day-to-day management of original animated productions, from development to final delivery for Disney+.
Creative Animation Intern: Works closely with executives, from pitch development to post-production, reviewing scripts, animatics, and animation for Disney+. Ideal for storytelling enthusiasts with an animation background.

Disney+: Multiple opportunities are available within this growing streaming business:
Creative Operations Intern: Coordinates approval processes for creative promotions across the EMEA region, ensuring project timelines are met.
Content Intern: Oversees and evaluates content for Disney+ and competing services, updating internal trackers and presenting content highlights.
Content Operations Intern: Oversees asset tracking for all EMEA releases and contributes to tool development improvements.

Live Action and Original Productions: Supports the creation of original live-action series for Disney+ in the UK and EMEA. This role combines administrative and creative tasks, including reading submissions and scripts, supporting shows in development and production, and coordinating with various teams (production, marketing, programming).

National Geographic: Opportunities span various aspects of documentary production, delivery, and promotion:
Live Action Intern: Supports the production of original unscripted content, managing meetings, tracking milestones, and assisting with research and documentation.
Programming Intern: Assists in creating monthly programming schedules, analyzes ratings data, and contributes to scheduling strategies and plans.
Media Planning and Presentation Intern: Focuses on promotions and campaign planning for live TV channels, involving system management and strategy execution.
Global Acquisitions Intern: Works with international producers and distributors, gaining experience in deal negotiation, pitches, and strategic thinking.
NG Promotions Production Intern: Oversees promotional material, managing voiceover and graphics bookings, quality checks, and international delivery.
NG Asset Management Intern: Supervises assets for campaigns (episodes, scripts, artwork, promos), utilizing Photoshop for on-demand platform images and newsletters.

Post-Production Operations: Supports the on-site post-production facility, monitoring quality control, supporting the delivery of broadcast-quality shows, and liaising with creative teams and other business areas.
