UI/UX Design Internship:

Role Summary:

Let’s Go uP is seeking a passionate and talented UI/UX Design Intern to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for turning complex systems into easy-to-understand flows, working closely with the VP of Technologies to visualize the user interface and build exceptional solutions. Every design element you contribute will directly impact our merchant’s businesses, making their lives easier and their businesses more successful.

This internship is ideal for those who are eager to learn about the merchant services industry and Point of Sale software development. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real business scenarios, further refine your graphic design, programming, and UI/UX skills, and envision a commercial product with end users in mind.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze target merchants’ experience problems, understand their current workflows, and research existing POS system providers.
• Conceptualize the big picture while also focusing on the details by wireframing flows, laying out UI, and understanding edge cases.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and sitemaps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Determine product requirements and communicate design specifications with engineers.
• Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and managing partners.
• Perform revisions based on user feedback.

Currently pursuings:

• Current students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
• Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and process flows is strongly encouraged.
• Knowledge of user interface development tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS.
• Ability to conceptualize the user experience across multiple device sizes and platforms.
• Proactive, can-do attitude, aiming for excellence.
• Excellent communication skills with a desire to learn in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
• Must have a portfolio available.
• Experience with Point of Sale software is a plus.
• Bilingual in Chinese is required.

Compensation:

This is an unpaid internship. School credit can be offered if desired. Lunch and transportation allowance are provided.

Duration:

1-3 months, flexible working hours, 20 hours/week.
