Job Description: UI and Graphic Designer Intern for KitchenConnect

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in UX/UI design and graphic design within a global company. You will be working directly with the Lead UX Designer of KitchenConnect, Welbilt’s cloud-based digital platform.

Major Responsibilities:

Design & Enhance Illustrations: You will be responsible for creating and improving illustrations for the KitchenConnect portal, ensuring they are consistent with brand guidelines and user experience standards.
Design System Development: You will assist in building and maintaining the design system by creating reusable components and ensuring consistency across all platforms.
Usability Testing: You will build usability testing frames, conduct tests, and analyze results to inform design improvements and enhance user experience.
Prototyping: You will develop detailed mockups and interactive prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
Collaboration: You will work closely with the design team and other departments to gather requirements, provide design solutions, and ensure seamless implementation.
Continuous Learning: You will participate in design reviews, team meetings, and feedback sessions to continuously learn and develop your skills.
Reporting: You will report to the Lead Designer, providing regular updates on task progress and receiving guidance and mentorship.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s program in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or UX/UI Design.
• Junior or Senior level enrolled in a college or university program.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Illustrator.
• Familiarity with design plugins and AI tools.
• Strong visual design skills with a focus on user experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work up to 30 hours per week.
• Portfolio and resume required.
