Treasury Analyst Intern (Fall 2026) | First Solar

The TL;DR

• Location: Hybrid, Phoenix, AZ
• Pay: $21–$22 hourly
• Team: Treasury team, collaborating with various stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Tax, Procurement, and other departments.
• Mission: Support corporate treasury activities and lead projects to improve financial reporting, enhance visibility, and optimize process efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Tech Stack: Excel, automation and AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Gain Exposure: Acquire practical exposure to a wide range of corporate treasury activities, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, banking operations, financial risk management, and the implementation of treasury technology.
• Support Initiatives: Work closely with the Treasury team to support and execute process improvement initiatives that enhance financial visibility and operational effectiveness across the department.
• Analyze and Recommend: Conduct in-depth research, meticulously analyze financial data, develop robust reporting tools, and formulate clear, data-driven recommendations for Treasury leadership.
• Lead Project: Independently lead a significant Treasury Process Improvement and Analytics Project, selected based on current departmental priorities. Potential project areas include cash forecast accuracy, KPI dashboard development, global cash visibility, bank relationship analysis, foreign currency exposure, counterparty risk monitoring, or treasury technology assessments.
• Present Findings: Compile and present a comprehensive summary of accomplishments and the project’s outcomes to the leadership team upon the successful completion of the internship.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related area of study, and entering your Junior or Senior year.
• Experience: Required to have completed fundamental accounting classes, demonstrating a basic understanding of corporate financial statements, and proficiently use Excel and other similar data analysis tools.
• Skills: Possess strong corporate finance and accounting skills; exhibit excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy; and effectively manage multiple assignments while collaborating effectively with team members.
• Bonus: A strong interest in corporate finance or treasury management is highly valued; prior experience or familiarity with automation and AI tools like Microsoft Copilot is preferred.
