2027 Summer Intern: Transaction Tax Accountant – Corporate | Spectrum

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 11-week internship at Spectrum, requiring travel for development events. Spectrum is America’s Connectivity Company®, a leading broadband and video provider offering services to millions of homes and businesses across 45 states. This role supports the Transaction Tax team, providing valuable insight into the financial operations that power the company’s daily connections and offering real-world experience in the telecommunications industry.

• Team: Supports the Transaction Tax Team.
• Mission: Provide support to the Transaction Tax team by gathering and reconciling transaction tax audit data.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Gathering: Gather transaction tax audit data for the Transaction Tax team.
• Data Reconciliation: Reconcile transaction tax audit data.
• Invoice Review: Pull and review invoices for transaction tax purposes.
• Accrual Reconciliation: Reconcile sales and use tax accruals.
• Report Generation: Generate general ledger reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Rising junior or rising senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: Expected graduation date between May 2028 to May 2029. Must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher. Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future employment-based immigration sponsorship.
• Skills: Excel proficiency, Analytical skills, Oral and written communication, Organizational skills, Problem-solving skills, Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
