Job Description, Detailed
This is for a Transaction Advisory Services Intern position within the Advisory Department for Summer in New York City, Massachusetts, or New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct financial due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions on behalf of private equity clients and corporate acquirers/sellers.
• Prepare Excel data packs.
• Analyze the historical financial and operating results of target companies.
• Develop financial models related to mergers, acquisitions, or other related transactions.
• Perform industry research as needed for engagements.
• Assist with coordinating the day-to-day duties involved in planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up stages of projects.
• Apply TAS (Transaction Advisory Services) Best Practices to ensure consistent quality of service and work product.
• Assist with preparing redacted Excel data packs and written reports.
• Assist with the preparation of other business development materials and support.
Qualifications:
• Must be a junior or in the year prior to graduation.
• Pursuing an accounting, business administration, economics, finance, or an equivalent degree.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining it.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work independently, while also collaborating well with others.
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
