Responsibilities:
1. Ride Operations Training & Development Intern
As a Training & Development Intern for Ride Operations, you will play a crucial role in delivering essential training programs. This includes:
- Delivering both department-specific training and International Ride Operator Certification (iROC) courses.
- Conducting in-service training sessions throughout the operating season to maintain high standards.
Required Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in ride operations is mandatory for this role.
Key Duties Include:
- Leading comprehensive department training sessions for both new and returning ride operations associates.
- Collaborating closely with leadership to ensure all training materials are current, accurate, and highly effective.
- Providing constructive feedback and coaching to associates during training sessions to enhance their performance.
- Conducting ongoing in-service training to reinforce critical safety protocols, operational standards, and guest service excellence.
2. Admissions Training & Development Intern
This is a pivotal leadership role focused on facilitating critical department training for the Admissions, Guest Services, and Traffic teams. As a Training & Development Intern for Admissions, you will gain invaluable experience teaching diverse groups of learners in both structured classroom and dynamic, hands-on operational settings.
Key Duties Include:
- Delivering engaging and highly effective department training sessions across multiple guest-facing teams.
- Supporting learning initiatives in both structured classroom environments and dynamic, on-the-job settings.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records using the company’s Learning Management System (Dayforce).
- Identifying operational challenges and proactively developing targeted in-service training programs to address performance gaps throughout the season.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be attending an accredited college or university.
- Commitment to work a minimum of 8 weeks between May 1st and August 31st.
- Availability Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 days per week of full availability.
- 2 of the 4 days must include either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday.
- Work a minimum average of 32 hours per week.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Attend all required professional development events.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
