Trading Data & Analytics Internship

This internship is within Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where the team focuses on improving animal lives through better nutrition.

Trading Data Analytics (TDA) Team:

The TDA team is a diverse group of professionals from various disciplines including agronomists, economists, statisticians, meteorologists, and data scientists. They generate short, medium, and long-term market insights for Cargill’s global processing and trading businesses.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and support supply and demand forecasting models for different commodities.
• Analyze market pricing and data using fundamental and quantitative analysis techniques.
• Participate in crop survey tours and interact with industry specialists.

Required Qualifications:

• Right to work in the U.S. (not based on a student or third-party sponsored visa).
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Agronomy, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026.
• Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate to Wayzata, MN.
• Ability to complete a 12-week internship during the summer (May/June – August 2025).
• Proven ability to work with diverse teams.
• Strong initiative and resourcefulness.
• Ability to manage uncertainty in a statistical and methodical way.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Programming and data modeling skills (R, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of commodity markets.

Location: Wayzata, MN.

Work Environment: Office setting with flexibility for hybrid arrangements.
