The Role: Tourism & Operations Intern
We are seeking passionate students or recent graduates eager to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of RV and campervan rentals and gain practical tourism experience at our Los Angeles Depot.
As a Tourism & Operations Intern, you will be the friendly ambassador of our brand, responsible for welcoming guests, preparing them for unforgettable road trips, and ensuring a seamless and wonderful end to their journey. What Will You Work On?
Front-office Activities
- Customer Service and Sales: Handle check-ins and check-outs, guest registration, process payments, provide detailed explanations of campervan functionalities, clarify terms and conditions, and upsell road trip extras.
Back-office Activities
- Operations Handling: Coordinate reservations with available campervans, meticulously verify and prepare campers, and organize road trip extras and kits.
- Quality Control: Ensure campervans are maintained in optimal condition, identifying and addressing any necessary maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Support Activities: Assist the team in monitoring existing stock, coordinating the fleet of campervans, and troubleshooting operational issues.
Who Are We Looking For?
- A student or recent graduate in Hospitality, Tourism, International Studies, Business Administration, or a related field, seeking an enriching internship experience.
- Fluent in English, possessing a valid work permit (if applicable), and holding a valid driver’s license for both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Someone who enjoys international environments and connecting with diverse cultures.
- An individual with a natural aptitude for connecting with people and a strong customer service orientation.
- A problem-solving mindset, comfortable with hands-on work, and driven to create effective solutions.
The Indie Commitment
- Base Compensation: $17.87 per hour for the duration of the internship.
- Training & Development: Comprehensive online and on-the-job training designed to cultivate essential skills for your growth, including guest relations, customer service, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, organization, time management, fleet coordination, and supplies management/logistics.
