About the Role
CMN is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Touring Intern to provide essential support to its touring department. This role offers a comprehensive administrative experience, encompassing report generation and review, meticulous accuracy checks for projects, calendar management, and communication with vendors and partners. The primary objective is to directly assist the touring team with current and upcoming tours, ensuring smooth operations and successful campaigns.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Review artwork and promotional spots with precision to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
- Generate and analyze sales reports for recently announced tours.
- Prepare daily ticket sale reports, tracking performance and identifying trends.
- Manage and maintain the departmental calendar, scheduling key activities and deadlines.
- Assist in the distribution of media artwork assets for various marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Forecast and request new graphics for each artist and campaign as appropriate, ensuring timely asset availability.
- Organize and maintain “BlueBooks” (likely tour bibles or comprehensive tour information binders).
- Request venue availabilities for potential tour dates.
- Create detailed routings for upcoming tours, optimizing logistics and scheduling.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the touring department as needed.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Media, Advertisement, or a related field.
- Bilingual verbal and written Spanish is required.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to execute projects accurately and on time.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A critical thinker with strong conceptual and research capabilities.
- Demonstrated strong decision-making skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable working effectively in high-pressure environments with strict deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Basic understanding of budgeting principles and advertisement strategies.
- Ongoing knowledge of the music industry and current music trends.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Pay Range: $16.60 per hour
- Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus.
- Benefits: Eligible for vacation and sick time in accordance with The Chicago Paid Leave and Paid Sick and Safe Leave Ordinance.
