Tour Marketing Intern

Location: Nashville, TN

Position Type: Part-time Internship

Internship Length: May 26, 2026 – August 27, 2026 (15 weeks)

This is a fixed-term internship with a maximum of 15 hours per week. This position does not guarantee extension or continued employment beyond the program duration. Candidates must be available for the full 15-week program.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a motivated self-starter with a profound passion for music and the touring industry. The ideal Tour Marketing Intern is eager to learn, proficient in utilizing digital platforms and analytics tools, and prepared to contribute to both marketing campaigns and tour operations. A positive attitude, adaptability, and a proactive willingness to assist wherever necessary are crucial attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day marketing support to mtheory’s marketing associates and client managers.
  • Create and deploy BandsInTown blasts and geo-targeted emails for upcoming shows.
  • Manage and update tour ticket trackers.
  • Add new shows to platforms such as BandsInTown, Songkick, and Seated as required.
  • Actively attend and participate in internal meetings and brainstorming sessions.
  • Develop and manage artist one-sheets, press kits, and other related promotional materials.
  • Conduct essential artist research, encompassing social network analysis, music platform analysis, touring history analysis, and online property analysis.
  • Participate in marketing meetings, contributing to the strategic mapping of artists’ creative and social media campaigns.

Preferred Skills

  • High energy, genuine enthusiasm, and a strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while taking direction effectively (a self-starter).
  • A strong interest in music, artist management, and the touring ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with key analytics platforms including Spotify for Artists, Pandora AMP, BandsInTown, Songkick, and Seated.

Position Information

  • This is a part-time internship; college credit is available.
  • The internship is paid at the state’s minimum wage for the office location (Nashville, TN).
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and a personal computer is required for this position.
