Job Description: Tour Marketing Intern (Summer 2025)

This is a paid, part-time internship (up to 40 hours per week), offering a hybrid work model (ideally 1-2 days per week in the office). The internship provides real-world experience in the live entertainment industry, allowing interns to apply academic learning to practical situations and develop leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Tour Marketing Team to understand the full tour marketing lifecycle and how different teams interact.
• Participate in departmental meetings.
• Conduct artist and fan research, monitoring social media conversations, fan sentiment, and genre trends.
• Create marketing recaps for tour announcements and on-sale periods.
• Assist in executing national promotions and sweepstakes.
• Compile creative assets and collaborate with the creative team on tour materials.
• Coordinate with the PR team, providing tour information and support for press events.
• Understand budgets, invoice payments, financial reporting, and media spending updates.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the end-to-end marketing process for launching national tours across various venue types.
• Learn about different departments within the Concerts Marketing Division and cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop an understanding of the touring industry, including ticketing and booking.
• Create and present a tour marketing campaign for a chosen artist to HR and the tour marketing department at the end of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (preferably in Marketing or Communications). Junior or senior standing preferred.
• Previous experience (school, internship, or professional) is preferred.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Teamwork skills and ability to execute programs.
• Physical requirements include constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50+ lbs, and occasional sitting.

The internship program runs during Summer 2025.
