This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic in the tipping area, directly contributing to the smooth operation of our recovery facilities and maintaining a secure environment for both customers and staff.

• Team: Reports to a Supervisor.
• Mission: To safely and efficiently direct vehicle traffic and manage debris in the tipping area according to established policies and procedures.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct Traffic: Guide incoming and outgoing vehicle traffic within the tipping area in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure Safety: Separate public and commercial vehicles, directing them to park at a safe distance from other vehicles.
• Manage Tipping Area: Maintain a distinct tipping area for end-dump trash trucks and keep the tipping table clear of large debris.
• Report Issues: Alert supervisors to hazardous materials, instances of scavenging, and any other relevant observations for proper documentation and disposal.
• Assist Customers: Communicate with customers, providing directions and referring specific questions to the appropriate personnel.

• Background: Entry-level position; no specific prior work experience is required.
• Experience: No minimum years of experience are required for this role.
• Skills: Ability to direct traffic, maintain safety protocols, observe and report issues, and communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
• Bonus: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
