Job Description: Thinix Software Development Intern
Company: Thinix, a division of R & D Industries, Inc.
Location: Ames, Iowa (on-site position, not remote)
Start Date: May 2025 (flexible depending on availability – Spring, Summer, Fall, or a combination)
Duration: 6 months to 2+ years (flexible)
About the Role: Thinix seeks talented front-end and back-end web developers for Software Development Intern positions. Interns will be integrated into the core development team and work on new and emerging products, primarily focused on iStatus.com, a patented IoT-based network monitoring platform.
Responsibilities:
• Develop Web Services Software for a new Thinix Product (55%): This is the core function of the internship.
• Assist in completion of various Thinix projects (25%): Contributing to the wider team’s efforts.
• Provide Support to the Thinix development team (10%): General assistance and support.
• Research (10%): Investigating new technologies and approaches.
Requirements:
• 6 months to 2+ years of experience with web development.
• Front-end skills: Angular 4-19+, TypeScript 2-5+, HTML5+, CSS3+ (via SASS), JSON, REST Architecture.
• Back-end skills: C# / .NET 8 / ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core – MVC architecture / microservices experience preferred. Experience with SQL databases and Entity Framework.
• Intern, CO-OP, or F1 OPT Availability: Beginning as early as May 2025 through August or December 2025 (or beyond). Part-time or full-time options are available.
