The Opportunity: The FANTERNSHIP

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and hard-working intern with the ability to think creatively, be proactive, and make clear, well-reasoned decisions. They look for people with drive, a passion for sports, and humility who can thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced culture. This role is for individuals who will go above and beyond to contribute to a world-class organization, work collaboratively, and be self-starters, monitoring the sports world and merchandise selling while working with vendors to drive results.

This is a competitive, paid internship position, spanning 10 weeks, from the end of May to the beginning of August.

How You Will Make An Impact (Key Responsibilities):

  • Monitor the sports world daily, understanding how the performance of leagues, teams, and players directly impacts merchandise buying decisions.
  • Assist in creating Industry Leading Product Assortments for all leagues and categories.
  • Work with the merchandising team to interpret data sets to assist with key business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, and research and resolve vendor issues.
  • Collaborate with buyers and planners for assistance with hot market events.
  • Prepare, organize, and assist in the creation of new products.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by managers.
  • Overall, develop a full-scale understanding of Fanatics’ processes and strategic goals.

  • Highly developed problem-solving skills required.
  • Comfort working with all employee levels, including executives.
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel products.
  • Ability to collaborate and positively influence teammates to drive decision-making without always owning ultimate responsibility and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for sports, merchandising, or both!
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Sports Management, Fashion Merchandising, or other related field from an accredited 4-year college or university.
  • December 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027 estimated graduation.
  • A minimum of 3.3 GPA.
