We are a fast-growing, passionate indie game studio developing a multiplayer co-op VR shooter. Our team of 25+ developers across art, design, code, and sound is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of virtual reality gameplay.

Job Description:

We’re seeking a Texture Artist Intern to help bring our game world to life with stylized, high-quality materials and surfaces. This is a remote (global) internship opportunity. This is an unpaid internship, where you will build your portfolio and gain real-world game dev experience with a 25+ member team.

The Role:

As a Texture Artist Intern, you’ll work closely with 3D modelers, environment artists, and designers to:

• Create high-quality, stylized or semi-realistic tileable textures and trim sheets.
• Develop materials for props, environments, characters, and weapons.
• Work within established art direction and optimize textures for VR performance.
• Use tools like Substance Painter, Designer, Photoshop, or Quixel to author textures.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure assets align visually and function well in-game.
• Receive feedback and iterate based on team input and gameplay needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• A portfolio that includes texture work or material studies (tileable textures, hand-painted or PBR welcome).
• Familiarity with tools like Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of UVs, normal maps, and texture optimization for real-time rendering.
• Interest in VR and multiplayer game environments is a plus!
• Eagerness to collaborate, learn, and grow in a remote team setting.

What We Offer:

Portfolio Building: Show off your textures in a real, playable multiplayer VR game.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with 3D artists, level designers, and technical leads.
Remote Flexibility: Join a global team and contribute from anywhere.
Hands-On Learning: Receive mentorship and feedback to refine your skills.
Production Credits: Get officially credited for your work on a published title.
