Test Process Engineering Intern
This internship offers a unique opportunity to be involved in the development of cutting-edge hard drive technologies at Seagate. As a Test Process Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing software and firmware test solutions for the latest innovations in hard drive manufacturing.
Responsibilities
• Design and Implementation of Test Solutions: You will be responsible for developing software and firmware test processes to ensure the quality and reliability of new hard drive technologies.
• Early Product Development Integration: You will integrate your test solutions into the early stages of the product development cycle, performing thorough integration testing, failure analysis, and drive performance characterization.
• Collaboration with Design Engineers: You will work closely with other design engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration of your test solutions into the overall product design.
• Innovative Architectural Solutions: You will contribute to the development of innovative architectural solutions that form the foundation for test process software and firmware.
Currently pursuings
• Required:
• Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or Computer Science, with a return to classes in Fall 2025.
• Proven hands-on experience in debugging software and firmware issues, with a focus on identifying the root cause of failures and driving corrective action.
• Excellent communication and technical leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to conceive and develop solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Preferred:
• Experience with Python and/or C programming languages.
• Familiarity with source code control systems like Perforce.
