• Team: Manages up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel; reporting line not specified.
• Mission: Oversee and optimize inbound terminal dock operations and lead a team of up to 30 personnel to achieve designated production schedules and meet Key Performance Indicator goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Oversight: Oversee inbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock, including the process of unloading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Team Management: Manage up to 30 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule and provide leadership and accountability.
• Load Optimization: Utilize independent judgment to build loads effectively based on available labor and current freight levels.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure proper loading of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers to maintain operational standards.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals are consistently met and/or exceeded.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Managerial level. A thorough understanding of the Less-than-Truckload (LTL) trucking industry is required.
• Experience: Prior management, dispatch, and dock experience is required, preferably within the LTL trucking industry. Demonstrated ability to lead a team, including the capacity to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees.
• Skills: Strong leadership capabilities; high aptitude for technology; ability to multi-task while maintaining detail orientation; excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills; capacity to work under tight time constraints in a high-pressure environment with multiple priorities; desire to deliver excellence in customer service.
