Tennis Apparel University Sales Intern

This is an UNPAID, on-site internship opportunity based in New York, NY.

Role Description

As a Tennis Apparel University Sales Intern, you will play a crucial role in expanding Jeu de paume’s presence within the university community. This hands-on internship focuses on direct sales and outreach to college campuses across the nation, fostering relationships and promoting our high-performance tenniswear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing various sales activities and supporting overall sales initiatives.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Train clients and university partners on Jeu de paume’s product offerings, communicating product knowledge effectively.
• Promote the brand and build strong, lasting relationships with university communities (e.g., UMiami, UMich, NYU, Harvard, Indiana, etc.).
• Execute sales strategies designed to penetrate and grow the university market.
• Primarily direct sales and outreach efforts to college campuses.
• Assist with sales reporting and analysis to track progress and identify opportunities.
• Participate in promotional events to increase brand visibility and engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively engage with clients and university partners.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in sales and sales management, including strategizing and meeting goals.
• Ability to assist with training initiatives and communicate product knowledge to customers clearly and persuasively.
• Passionate about tennis and/or sportswear, with a keen understanding of current industry trends and market dynamics.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably with a focus on Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
