Job Description: Technology Summer Internship
Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week
Duration: 11 weeks
About the Internship:
This internship offers opportunities to explore potential career paths within the technology organization, gain hands-on experience with real-life projects, and develop essential skills for a successful career. The program is designed to be collaborative, challenging, and rewarding, with opportunities to build networks, connect with experienced employees, and participate in team-building activities, mentorship programs, and social events.
Technology Analyst Pathways:
Analyst
• Assists the liaison between the business or functional community and the Technology organization to provide technical solutions.
• Develops skills in the business or functional areas they support and gains an understanding of related technology systems.
• Assists with process redesign and documentation for new technology solutions.
• Understands technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.
• Supports the product owner in developing the product backlog.
• Reviews functionality after coding to ensure it meets acceptance criteria.
• Recommends changes to processes to reduce overhead and eliminate waste.
• Develops and maintains analytics reporting and processes to provide insights into business performance.
• Synthesizes data to uncover insights and drive strategic decisions.
Product Analyst
• Collaborates with the business on product roadmap, discovery, and scoping of features.
• Documents product requirements, business rules, and defines acceptance criteria.
• Works with the business team and stakeholders to define scope, updating existing features and implementing new ones.
• Understands high-level business requirements.
• Delivers the product against business requirements.
• Describes business rules as technical artifacts using internal tools.
• Works with the product design team to understand product feasibility and features.
• Analyzes and clarifies product requirements.
• Works with the quality assurance team to ensure proper testing and meets product requirements.
• Aligns technical team development with business needs.
• Ensures user experience, responsiveness, and functionalities of applications.
• Participates in planning individual product features and their development lifecycle.
• Researches and identifies best practices from a business & product perspective.
Required Skills:
• Rising senior or graduate student studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Cyber Security, or other related major.
• Keen interest in the financial services industry.
• Ability to document IT solution requirements (business, functional and/or technical).
• Strong technical knowledge.
Preferred Skills:
• Minimum GPA of 3.2
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Compensation:
• Pay Transparency Salary Range: $30-35/ hour
• Overtime eligible: Nonexempt
• Discretionary bonus eligible: No
• Sales bonus eligible: No
