What You’ll Actually Do
• Risk Assessment and Analysis: Proactively identify and assess technology risks across Monzo’s cloud-native infrastructure and applications, evaluating existing control effectiveness and recommending improvements based on analyzed risk data.
• Risk Management: Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and methodologies tailored to a modern, cloud-first environment, while monitoring mitigation activities and assisting in defining risk appetite and tolerance levels.
• Reporting and Communication: Communicate complex technical risk information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, preparing regular reports and dashboards for management, and fostering a culture of risk awareness across the organization.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology risks, security trends, and regulatory changes, contributing to the continuous improvement of risk management processes and tools, and sharing knowledge within the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a professional with demonstrable experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating technology risks within cloud-native environments.
• Experience: You should have experience in contributing to the development and implementation of risk management frameworks and methodologies, coupled with a good understanding of relevant regulatory requirements.
• Skills: You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to articulate technical risk concepts to diverse audiences.
• Bonus: Experience in a banking environment is preferred.
