About the Digital Transformation Solutions Team & The Internship:

HNTB is seeking self-motivated, collaborative individuals with a passion for digital innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving. As a Technology Intern within HNTB’s Digital Transformation Solutions Team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with their talented tech team. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience, contribute to real-world projects, and learn from industry experts.

This internship is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of technology within the transportation industry, including:

• Software development
• Data analytics
• Asset management
• Resiliency solutions
• Geospatial solutions
• And more.

As an intern, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow, so don’t worry if you don’t know everything right away. HNTB encourages curiosity, asking questions, and taking full advantage of the learning experience!

Please note: Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Assists project team members with various support tasks.
• Conducts basic research and data collection.
• Maintains records, collections, and files related to specific projects.
• Assists in the development of graphics, presentation materials, and reports.
• Performs other duties assigned.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications):

• Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program.

What We Prefer (Preferred Qualifications):

• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Angular, React, C#, C++).
• Familiarity with databases, cloud computing, or networking concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Approximate Pay Range Information:

• Massachusetts: $25.28 – $37.92 per hour.
• Illinois: $23.18 – $34.76 per hour.

Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
