Job Description – 2025 Internal Audit – Technology Audit Summer Analyst Program (Baltimore)

This 10-week internship program offers an immersive experience in the world of Internal Audit at Morgan Stanley. As a Summer Analyst, you’ll gain exposure to various functions within Internal Audit and coverage areas across the firm, such as equities and compliance.

During the program, you’ll:

Receive comprehensive training: Learn about internal audit fundamentals, Morgan Stanley’s audit methodology, and the latest in cutting-edge technology, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud computing.
Engage with senior leadership: Network with senior leaders within the Internal Audit Department and gain insights into their perspectives and experiences.
Build your network: Connect with colleagues from various departments through networking opportunities and team projects.
Develop your skills: Enhance your analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills through a variety of activities, including peer mentorship, community service opportunities, and a group project presentation.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Develop a strong understanding of business and technology principles, and basic auditing standards.
• Execute a range of assurance activities, including audits, continuous monitoring, and closure verification.
• Produce high-quality work in line with team priorities, including documenting narratives, process flows, and communicating results to management.
• Contribute to risk and business impact assessments within your coverage area.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Expected to graduate between December 2025 and June 2026, with less than one year of full-time professional experience.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a technology-related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Information Security and Technology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A commitment to inclusive behaviors.
• Proactive in seeking guidance and soliciting feedback for self-development.

Application Process and Deadline:

Applications are open and candidates must apply by August 9, 2024, to be considered. The expected base pay rate for the role is $29.81 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay for those hired will be determined individually and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other short and long-term incentive packages.
