The Technology Assurance Audit Internship offers the opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities:

Documenting client processes and IT systems: Learn to prepare clear and well-structured documentation that accurately reflects your understanding of client processes and information technology (IT) systems.
Executing and documenting IT control testing: Under appropriate guidance, perform and document testing of clients’ IT controls using relevant standards and terminology.
Supporting the use of Data and Analytics (D&A) in the audit: This includes tasks like data extraction and analysis, utilizing a range of technologies and data analysis tools, including AI, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
Identifying and communicating findings: Collaborate with the engagement team to identify and communicate findings and recommendations.
Utilizing technology and innovation: Learn new and emerging technologies and explore opportunities to use intelligent automation to support engagement activities.

Qualifications:

Enrolled in an accredited college or university: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or equivalent program. Information Systems with an Accounting double major is preferred.
Strong GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
Technical aptitude: Demonstrated strong technical aptitude and critical thinking skills.
Understanding of business systems and technology: A general understanding of business systems and technology, as well as data analysis tools.
ERP system exposure: Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday is preferred but not required.
Communication and collaboration skills: Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills. Must be a flexible and adaptable team player, comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Additional preferred qualifications: Leadership experience, resourceful in delivering high-quality work, and ability to demonstrate project management skills are a plus.

Location and Travel:

• Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the KPMG office.
• Be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation.
• Expect to work in-person at a KPMG office or client site on an average of three days per week.
• Some client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
