Job Description: Technology Assurance Audit Intern

KPMG is seeking a Technology Assurance Audit Intern to join its Technology Assurance practice within the Audit department. The intern will have the opportunity to:

• Prepare clear and effective documentation regarding clients’ processes and IT systems
• Execute and document testing of clients’ IT controls, explaining procedures and results
• Support the use of Data and Analytics (D&A) in audits, utilizing technologies like Excel, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and Power BI
• Identify and communicate findings and recommendations to the engagement team
• Utilize technology, systems, and tools to support engagement activities
• Learn new and emerging technologies and explore opportunities for intelligent automation

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or an equivalent program with a double major in Accounting
• Upon internship completion, additional academic credits are required to obtain a degree and/or CPA eligibility
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
• General understanding of business systems, technology, and data analysis techniques
• Exposure to ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday is preferred
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and a demonstrated quality service mindset
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills
• Flexible and adaptable team player, resourceful in delivering high-quality work
• Ability to reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the office and travel to work locations using personal transportation or public means
