Job Description:

Charles IT is seeking trainees for a 90-day Technical Training Program starting in January 2025. This program provides hands-on experience in various IT areas, including:

Customer service approach: Understanding and implementing Charles IT’s customer service philosophy.
Active Directory user and group management: Managing users and groups within the Active Directory environment.
Printer and peripheral installations: Installing and configuring printers and other peripherals.
New desktop setups: Setting up new desktop computers and configuring software.
Office 365 administration: Managing Office 365 accounts and services.
Basic server maintenance and administration: Performing basic maintenance and administration tasks on servers.
Customer network audits: Conducting network audits to identify potential issues.
First-level security incidents: Responding to security incidents like phishing, SPAM, and Dark Web alerts.
Computer imaging: Creating and deploying computer images for new systems.
Responding to client tickets: Providing technical support via phone and email.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support with administrative and general office tasks.
• Assist with ongoing IT services and projects, including on-site deliveries and drop-offs.
• Image laptops and desktops for inventory.
• Help organize the office and support team members to enhance overall efficiency.
• Learn to navigate the ticketing system used for business operations.
• Complete self-paced technical training materials and certifications.

Requirements:

• Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week for the full 90-day period.
• Associate, Bachelor’s, or Graduate degree in Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in a help desk or related environment.
• Strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing is required.
