About the Technical Support for Production Operations Position:
This position is responsible for providing technical support of Production Operations at Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Troy, Alabama. The primary responsibilities include:
• Supporting the development and operation of automated test equipment for missile production assembly, integration, and testing.
• Creating and maintaining detailed test plans and procedures.
• Providing hands-on manufacturing floor support for electrical and electronic component integration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of military missiles.
• Interpreting engineering requirements from product data drawings, parts lists, specifications, and schematics.
• Demonstrating a high level of electronic circuit test and analysis abilities to perform or assist with missile production and testing.
• Using statistical data to develop trend analysis to detect potential failures and conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and implement corrective/preventative actions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with Test & Troubleshooting of Electronic Circuits.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance. Lockheed Martin will assist selected candidates with obtaining an Interim Secret Clearance prior to starting.
• Ability to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background check to obtain approval as an “employee possessor” of explosives or other ATF-regulated items.
Desired Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits.
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as Digital Multimeter, Digital Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Frequency Counter, and/or Network Analyzer.
• Strong hands-on assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, industrial, and/or home equipment and products.
• Previous experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, National Instrument’s Lab-View Lab-Windows CVI and Test-Stand software with hardware component integration is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of General Manufacturing Processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
