Job Description: Technical Program Management Intern

As a Technical Program Management (TPM) Intern at Slack, you will play a key role in driving impactful programs within the Data Engineering organization. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Data Ingestion, Data Infrastructure, and cross-functional partners. Your responsibilities will include:

Program Management: Drive impactful programs across multiple functions within the organization. This involves developing and iterating on visibility and alerting programs across Product and Engineering departments. You’ll also be responsible for risk management, scope management, developing briefs, schedules, and release plans for your assigned programs. A key aspect will be identifying and facilitating decisions to remove roadblocks and ensure program progress.

Process Improvement: Develop and implement process, tooling, and systems improvements for cross-functional teams, incorporating feedback from collaborators. This involves analyzing data sets, creating dashboards and reports to answer business questions, and ensuring timely program delivery through effective communication and proactive risk identification.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize your skills to analyze data sets and develop dashboards and reports to address business needs.

Team Contribution: Contribute to the growth of the TPM organization by participating in and leading process improvement initiatives with other TPMs.

Key Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science or a related field (Data Science, Information Management), graduating no earlier than December 2025. Must be returning to school the following quarter/semester.
• North American university attendance required.
• Proven experience using data analysis to solve problems and answer questions.
• Demonstrated technical acumen to influence implementation choices.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Agile product development practices and principles.
• Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for working with stakeholders and across teams.
