Job Description: Technical Intern (Summer 2025)

The Technical Intern (Summer 2025) will assist with daily operations through troubleshooting, repair, and assembly initiatives. This is an onsite position located in Chesterfield & St. Peters, Missouri (St. Louis) with multiple positions available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily operations through troubleshooting, repair, and assembly initiatives.
• Participate in Experitec’s customer service culture of “No Equal”.
• Receive cross-training in multiple business units, including cleaning/polishing with sandblaster or tools, painting, tag making, and handling associated paperwork for compliance, safety, and customer recordkeeping.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned.
• Complete equipment failure investigations using root cause analysis techniques.
• Work closely with Maintenance leaders to ensure preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Assist the management of the company’s technical documentation.
• Assist in the development of ideas and opportunities to improve production equipment health and performance.
• Handle daily challenges that allow you to put your problem-solving skills in action.
• Organize, update, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and analytical equipment maintenance PM and repair documentation.
• Assist with responses to general questions.

Internship Details:

• 10-12 week learning journey between May and September 2025.
• Full-time or Part-time paid summer position.

Required Skills, Experience & Abilities:

• Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs.
• Eager learner with the aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as a team player.
• Positive attitude, collaborative, and driven with a friendly demeanor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong conceptual and analytical thinking.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in manufacturing and data center environments with shifting and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to wear PPE as appropriate for potential environmental hazards.

Preferred Skills, Experience & Abilities:

• Actively involved in campus, community, or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
• Experience utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Customer service experience.
• Prior internship and/or related work experience.
