Job Description: Tax Winter 2026 Internship – Sunrise, FL

CohnReznick is seeking Tax Winter Interns to join their team in the Sunrise, FL office for a period from January to April 2026. This internship is a crucial opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in public accounting.

Your Team:
• You will be an integral part of an Engagement Team comprising other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
• You will gain exposure to a diverse range of industries, which may include Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (varying by office).
• The CohnReznick office offers amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices.
• You will be assigned a Performance Coach to help establish goals, provide feedback, and support your career development, as well as a CR Friend to assist with your onboarding and integration into the firm.

Your Role:
As a Tax Winter Intern, you will be responsible for becoming familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and performing these procedures accurately, thoroughly, and timely, in accordance with firm standards.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
• Working on all aspects of an audit engagement, including cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
• Assisting with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Participating in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients.
• Assisting the team with daily client workflow.

Your Experience (Required Qualifications):

The successful candidate will have:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• A plan to complete 150 credit hours between December 2026 and September 2027 to be eligible for CPA licensure.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 in both their major and overall coursework.
• Successful completion of at least two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Prior work or internship experience is considered a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
• The ability to learn effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Proof of work authorization such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.
