Detailed Job Description: Tax Summer Intern
This is an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Summer Intern located in CohnReznick’s Boca Raton office. The internship will run from June 2026 to August 2026.
Work Model:
The position is hybrid, meaning team members are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week, with the specific cadence determined at the team level.
Your Team:
As an intern, you will be an integral part of an Engagement Team that includes other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. You will also be assigned a Performance Coach to help establish goals, provide feedback, and guide your career path, as well as a CR Friend to provide support and a familiar face when you join the firm. The Boca Raton office offers amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices.

CohnReznick serves a diverse range of clients across various industries, which may include Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (the specific mix varies by office).
Your Role & Responsibilities:
As a Tax Summer Intern, your primary responsibility will be to become familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and to perform these procedures accurately, thoroughly, and in accordance with firm standards. Specific responsibilities include:
• Working on a variety of client deliverables, including the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Identifying potential tax issues.
• Preparing tax adjusting entries and tax trial balances based on audited or client-provided trial balances.
• Assisting the team with daily client workflow.
Your Experience & Qualifications:

• Education: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA Path: Plan to complete 150 credit hours between December 2026 and September 2027 to qualify for CPA licensure.
• GPA: A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall studies.
• Coursework: Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Experience: Prior work or internship experience is a plus.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Work Authorization: Must provide proof of work authorization, such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status.
