Job Description
Job Title: Tax Summer 2026 Internship
Location: Sunrise, FL
Internship Period: June to August 2026
Role Overview:
The Tax Summer Intern will primarily focus on becoming familiar with accounting and auditing procedures and performing these procedures in accordance with firm standards, ensuring accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
Your Team:
• Engagement Team: Interns will work closely with a team comprising other Interns, Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners.
• Industries: The firm serves a diverse range of clients across sectors such as Consumer & Industrial, Financial Sponsors & Financial Services, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Public Sector, Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Technology & Media, and Private Client Services (client industries may vary by office).
• Office Environment: The CohnReznick office provides amenities, collaborative spaces, and private offices.
• Performance Coach: Each intern will be assigned a Performance Coach to help establish goals, provide feedback, and offer support to guide their career path.
• CR Friend: A designated CR Friend will serve as a familiar contact for new interns, offering support and a point of outreach.
Your Role (Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To):
• Working on various aspects of an audit engagement, including managing cash, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, searching for unrecorded liabilities, maintaining confirmation logs, and preparing audit work papers.
• Assisting with audits, reviews, compilations, and accounting services.
• Participating in resolving audit issues by obtaining evidence and making inquiries of clients.
• Assisting the team with daily client workflow.
Your Experience (Required Qualifications):
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Planning to complete 150 credit hours between December 2026 and September 2027, which is necessary for CPA licensure.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA in both your major and overall academic performance.
• Successful completion of two accounting courses prior to the start of the internship.
• Demonstrated leadership positions in student organizations, extracurricular activities, and/or on team projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proof of work authorization, such as U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status, is required to apply.
