Job Description: Tax Seasonal Intern – Business Tax Services

KPMG is seeking a Tax Seasonal Intern for its Business Tax Services practice. This role involves performing a range of tax-related tasks and working collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tax compliance tasks for diverse clients (partnerships, corporations, S-corporations).
• Participate in data analytics assignments using KPMG’s technology.
• Create tax return work papers and tax returns for corporate clients.
• Coordinate with offshore resources.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Stay current on the latest tax practices.
• Develop skills in key technologies used in client service delivery (AI, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, taxation, mathematics, economics, information technology, data and analytics, engineering (financial, industrial, or systems), or a similar field.
Preferred: Degrees/areas of study in Accounting and Taxation.
Preferred: Pursuing CPA licensure requirements in the office’s state (completion of necessary academic credits before starting as a Tax Associate).
Preferred: GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Preferred: Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science, or data analytics.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality service, strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; ability to work effectively as a flexible and adaptable team player; resourcefulness in delivering high-quality work.
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the office and have reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed, sometimes with short notice.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without needing employment-based visa sponsorship. (No visa sponsorship is available).
